From Tired to Timeless – A Bold Brunswick Revival

Renovation is an adventure—equal parts exhilarating and demanding. And when we took on Brunswick, we knew we had something special on our hands. A home with great bones, a rich history, and a tired soul in need of revival. What began as a kitchen and living renovation soon unfolded into a full-scale transformation, a refresh that would breathe new life into every corner.

The vision? A home that felt effortless, modern, and deeply connected to its heritage.

We started with the footprint, refining both the ground and first floors to enhance flow and function. Subtle yet significant details—the kind that elevate everyday living—were woven throughout. On the first floor, full-height doors stretch the sense of space skyward, while the absence of skirting boards allows for a seamless visual transition. Walls bathed in micro cement shimmer with the changing light, adding a quiet luxury to every room.

And then, there’s the staircase.

A Helical marvel that commands attention in the entryway, sculptural and elegant in equal measure. Paired with herringbone floors underfoot, the space finds its rhythm, a dance of materiality and form.

Downstairs, we leaned into the home’s context. Arch doors—an ode to Brunswick’s historic terraces—frame each threshold, inviting movement and curiosity. These thoughtful details, layered with contemporary restraint, balance old and new in a way that feels completely at home.

‍

Designing from another state has its challenges, but when you’re working with like-minded clients, excellence is simply the standard. Collaboration, trust, and a shared vision have been at the heart of this process, and now, as furniture begins to arrive, the excitement builds.

There’s still much to do, but the feeling is undeniable: Brunswick is stepping into its new era, and it’s looking incredible.
